I'll be the first to enter! I love the previous post...I strive each year to create this "relaxed family" atmosphere and it works until I look at the clock and realize that I need to be at my mother's in 1/2 an hour and we are all still in our PJ's and then "poof" relaxation is gone. And suddenly I'm 17 and late for curfew! The warm fuzzy holiday feeling comes back when we finally arrive at my mother's, but if I could figure out a way to avoid the 1-2 hours of getting ready for grandma's I'd be so happy.
Christmas is my favorite time of the year! I love decorating as early as possible, I love shopping, even on "Black Friday". I love everything about this wonderful holiday! For me, instilling into my two daughters the true meaning of Christmas is vitally important and fun! I explain we buy presents because this is what the three Wisemen did on that first holy night, that God gave us the most precious gift of all His only Son. We have a green tree for it represents everlasting life, the meaning of the candy cane, lights on the tree, the Christmas wreath and on and on! I want them to connect Jesus Christ's birthday to all the decorations and various ways we celebrate at our house. As the saying goes and is still so true, "Jesus is the reason for the Season!". At our house that is the reason we decorate and celebrate, because we love Him so much! Merry Christmas!
Nadia, your blogs are always so amazing...you sure have a way with words! Keep up the great work, I'm sure you inspire, encourage many more than just me!
